ALSA

Yay! Got it working (on Owens new kernel). Needed to whack all the
sliders on the output tab up on my iBook for it to work. I don't have
anything on the input tab - this laptop doesn't have inputs.... Its
snd_powermac, not snd-powermac. Thanks to Joseph E. Sacco for pointing
me to the modprobe.conf.dist, as I needed it to fix my 'damage' to
modprobe.conf

Listening to Blue Monday through rhythmbox right now.

Its a bit quiet, mind... Must be the hardware volume, which I note
that something (Arts?) is trapping the hotkey commands for at the
moment. Its loud enough with my headphones in.
