HI,
I've just installed OO 1.1. on my PPC:IMAC/NEW WORLD/ 500MHZ; 20GB; =
384MB; 24XCDR/W; YDL 3.01; KERNEL 2.6.1. with a 'no Java' option, but =
because during installation got message that I already have installed =
previous version of Open Office 1.0 I was suggested to install newer =
version of Open Office 1.1. to different directory /opt what I did =
and successfully finish installation, but when now I trying to run any =
Open Office application from the panel starts only previous version Open =
Office 1.0 applications.Tried to run Open Office 1.1.application from =
that newly created directory /opt but couldn't find any executable =
files. Tried to remove previous version Open Office 1.0 but still same. =
Tried to find answer at Open Office web site, unfortunately with no =
luck. Please help with advice, really would appreciate that.
with respect
Mr. Leonidas Jegorovas

I've just installed OO 1.1. I noticed a long delay after clicking OK =
(or Next or whatever it was) on the JRE selection page but it proceeded =
eventually and everything seems to be working. I specified Blackdown =
Java because that's the only runtime the installer detected, though I do =
have the IBM runtime and sdk installed too.=20

Apparently Java isn't used for much in the latest OO and you can run =
without it. On the JRE selection page there is a 'no Java' option. That =
might be worth a try.

I downloaded it from the YDL site, and I am able to expand the file =

I have installed the IBM JRE that comes with YDL.
    =20
When I run the ./setup, I get as far as the confirmation that JRE is =
installed and I cannot seem to get past this point.

Can anyone help me. Am I doing something wrong?
