Hi. Thanks to everyone who responded to my question.

Especially helpful was Daniel Gimpelevich who made the critical
observation that I had likely omitted partitioning with OS9.
Having looked over the YDL Companion, I thought I COULD skip
that, but apparently not.

There are still some issues, such as booting into YDL when
selecting OS X. I probably have some partitions set wrong in the
yaboot configuration file.

Another issue is that Druid would not accept my partitioning
scheme. I thought I had used roughly the same scheme in Fedora
and SuSE (on other boxes). I am somewhat paranoid about /var
filling up, among other things.

Another issue may be hardwar related. I though I could let
OFboot run for a while to see what it thought I could boot.
However, booting with Option now issues a message regarding
memory (too large, I seem to recall). I'll probably leave that
alone for the time being.

So I'll need to install again, but hey, it's good practice ...
cheers, drl
