I am sorry you are having so much trouble.

That is all useful information. However, we still need
more information in order to help you:

[1] What version of Yellow Dog Linux are you trying to
install?

There seem to be issues with version YDL 3.0.1 -- I
recommend using version 3.0.

[2] Did you purchase the disks or download them from
the Web site?

A *very* common problem is that the disks are corrupt.
Compare the checksum: you might have to download the
images and burn them again.

[3] What version of Mac OS are you trying to install?

Although it is possible to install YDL without the
Macintosh operating system on "New World" Macs (such
as your Blue & White PowerMac G3), you might find it
useful to install Mac OS 9.1 on a small partition at
the beginning of the install process. You* must* use
use Apple's Drive Setup application to do this (I am
not familiar with PartitionMagic, but I think it only
works on PCs). If you do not have an Apple Macintosh
OS installation CD, you must get one. You *must*
install YDL according to the instructions at:

I think that this is your problem. PartitionMagic is
not the correct tool to use to partition a Mac disk.
Go to the Yellow Dog Linux Web pages and FOLLOW THOSE
DIRECTIONS!

Good luck!

Best wishes,
Clint
