This is a fine personal decision, but a very poor business decision. I
am, too, not at all against using Mac computers in people's homes (as
long as they are well-warned about using open formats to store their
files, so that their "Memoires de la Guerre" are still readable 10 years
down the line and not become a useless collection of binary data). In
fact, I've recommended several friends of mine to buy Macs for their
personal use.

However, if you are running a large business, choosing to go with Apple
can be quite perilous. Many large companies are understanding this,
which is why there is a lot of momentum to switch to using Linux in the
workplace.

IBM isn't promoting Linux because they are such sweethearts. They just
don't want the history of OS/2 to repeat itself. They want to make sure
that whatever effort they put into developing an OS, it cannot later on
be used against them. I suggest everyone learn from them.
