Freedom of choice my friend.  If someday you decide you no longer
want to run OSX what will you do with your software?  Your hardware? 
Granted Mac heads NEVER want to sell their gear unless they're in the
market to upgrade, just read the LEM-SWAP list for proof.  I would
never want to be locked in to a business decision.  The free market
should always dictate what you can and can not do.  I am very
familiar with POS, point of sale, systems, it's a side business. 
Most big companies use Linux, ie. Dominos', Auto Zone - currently
being sued by SCO- and Bank of America.  Can you imagine what would
happen to the bottom line of a company if they were forced into a
EULA that forced them to maintain a business relationship becasue
their hardware/ software required them too?  It would be suicide for
a corporation.
