I'm a newbie, too, and can't make mol work. BUT, I will take a stab at
some of your questions. YMMV.

If you d/l'd the i386 version of T-bird, it won't run on a PPC. Try
FireFox.

I run KAppfinder (under preferences under the KDE/YDL menu in the
Kicker). Then, the new icon for the app you installed can be found.
Then use the K Panel Menu (right click on the divider thingy on the
menubar), go to ADD, then drop down and find the icon you want.

Same panel as enable auto login.

Now, how about coming over to my house and making mol work? :-)
