How do I understand what each level represents?  What levels are good, I
have no reference?  As a default I have most ranges between 60-75.

ERROR: PC Speak will not raise up with my arrow keys.  Each time I esc
and reenter "alsamixer" there is an "MM" over the PC Speak.  Would that
stop my audio?

The HOWTo mentions DRC.  Cannot increase the DRC, only the DRC Range.

Unable to install XMMS from my #2 CD.  How do I do it otherwise?  My GUI
install program does not allow me to select an application downloaded.
