[ydl-gen] YDL 5 installation on Xserve

Booting from firewire/USB is a function of your machine. If your 
machine can handle it, so can YDL.  It'll just take a little
extra effort.

We are discussing using the default Graphical Installer not
supporting direct installs to an external device (removing
the "extra effort" noted above).

The original problem pertaining to software RAID is also a
point of this discussion.
