New install

Ok i installed it, YDL 2.3 that is.
Well I have no sound for one but more importantly how do I use kppp to co=
nnect=20
to the internet easily.. I am connected right now using someting called t=
he=20
network configuration panel..but thats a lot to go thur to get connected,=
=20
plus its always asking for root password. Kppp dials up as if everythings=
 ok,=20
but no internet programs work..."cant find page"

Please help.

PS I do like what i am seeing with YDL.
BTW I have an imac 350mhz
