CUPS and serial printer

i have a printer on ttyS1 (epson stylus color 500) and i've configured
it within cups, without much success. I had only one time some print
from a test page giving a bunch of "a" (more than 3 pages) .

Now, i'm even no more able to reproduce that, here is the uri given :
Device URI: serial:/dev/ttyS1?baud=115200+bits=8+parity=none+flow=dtrdsr

epson manufacturer giving : tranfert rates : 57,6 to 230,4 kbps, 8 bits
no parity, 1 start and 1 stop bits protocle similar to DTR.

does someone encountered the same kind of probs ?
