Hello,

I just installed YDL 2.3 on a G4 powermac with a large LCD attached.
works great, except:

The desktop does not fit on the screen - I have to scroll around to see
the edges (its "dock, menus, etc). An engineers' note in the
instructions say:

LCD monitor with a Cube or G4 : At the yaboot prompt (after you have
chosen "L" for Linux):
linux video=aty128fb:vmode:14 [ENTER]

Well, easier said than done. after I have chosen "l' for linux, its
off and on its way - immediately. I've tried quickly typing "l linux
video=aty128fb:vmode:14 [ENTER]", but that gets me to a boot prompt
that let's me select the kernel - and it looks for a linux video
kernel. not good.

Any advice?

Grant

ps: I also have YDL 3.0. big improvement? Should I just re-install
with that?
