Lost KDM

I used apt-get upgrade which updated quite a few files on my YDL 2.3 system.

After doing this KDE no longer appeared in the Gnome Desktop Switcher. (Some KDE apps still seem to work; some don't.)

I tried restarting X with kdm which also didn't work. I did a search for kdm and seems like it's gone from my system.

How do I get KDE 3.0.1 running again?
