I succesfully upgraded from 2.3 using apt-get as told here , THANKS

now when i try to use apt-get upgrade it comes out with lines such as

warning: /var/cache/apt/archives/cups_1_%3a1.1.17-13.3_ppc.rpm: V3 DSA
signature: NOKEY, key id aeb6b9c4
error: /var/cache/apt/archives/gnome-libs..........ppc.rpm: V3 DSA
signature: BAD, key id aeb6b9c4
error: /var/cache/apt/archives/gnome_libs..........ppc.rpm cannot be
installed
.
.
.
.
.
E: Sub-process /bin/rpm returned an error code(3)

and it stops there

similiar thing happens when i use synaptic, but worse, becuse synaptice
uninstalls some stuff, for example, i've been trying to install open
office and koffice, but it runs into problems and when i log out and in
again, kde_base is uninstalled and I go into gnome.....
so i have to reinstall kde

maybe removing all rpms from /var/cache/apt/archives ??????

d/l all again and try to install everything again as in the
instructions????

other than that, i almost got all the other apps needed for basic use
xmms, gaim, mozilla,

that's pretty much what these guys use, all i need is to get the word
processing in and i can take a vacation

but so far, i'm happy with this version on linux...
