Just a guess here - this sounds suspiciously similar to the catastrophe=20=

that was caused by Apple's flawed 10.2.8 update a few weeks back.  Are=20=

you sure that you're using the newest version of the 10.2.8 update, or=20=

is there a chance that you're using the old, poisonous one?  When I=20
installed the first version, the only way out was for me to reformat my=20=

hard drive and start from scratch (luckily I had a fresh backup of my=20
data).  One way to test is to start over, install both linux and OS X=20
again, but don't update to the 10.2.8 version of OS X.  If you still=20
have a problem, then it's something else.

10.2.8 update, or is there a chance that you're using the old,
poisonous one?  When I installed the first version, the only way out

install both linux and OS X again, but don't update to the 10.2.8
version of OS X.  If you still have a problem, then it's something
else.
