Installation Successful, but can't boot up

I've been saying it a few times, but I really recommend knoppix-MiB-ppc
as a rescue and investigation disk: start up linux from cdrom,
you can get yourself read and write access to all linux AND mac partitions,
you can sniff around and try to see what is wrong, compare the settings
of the two linuxes, change some things and try again. On the other hand,
if your computer won't boot from this disk either, then you know you
really are in for a hard time.
