I thought I was a little more experienced!

Well, I didn't think that I'd have to post to this forum - I've been
using linux for about 8 years now, on i386, sparc, and have a
well-established debian potato install on the old 7600 powermac as my
public web server. I've built many-a-custom kernel, ran make on too
many custom packages than I care to remember, and dome a little
programming in C, but I'll be dog-gone if I can figure this out!

Problem:
I've installed YDL3 (thanks, guys! This is THE best looking linux I've
used so far!) and for the life of me, I cannot find any graphical RPM
tools on YDL (or RH9 for that matter I guess!). All my favorite
graphical RPM management utilities are missing, specifically (if I
remember) it's called "gnorpm". I found the RPM for it, but it appears
to be for ydl 2.something, and refuses to install on this system without
other packages which also refuse to install (using the >ugh< CLI version
of RPM).
I really want to get the BTTV BT848 capture card working in this
PowerMac G4 AGP graphics - I can install modules for it, but no nifty
apps to take advantage of the card.
Where am I going wrong? ;)
Thanks!
