Problems installing Yellow Dog Linux onto Old World Mac

It's been done, there are a lot of people running the latest flavor
of YDL on OW macs.  Read, I mean really read, the forum post that's
been posted before AND try your own work arounds.  I have a 6500 and
a G3/266 running YDL 4, no problem.
