Exactly the same thing as happens if I drop a text file on the icon:

This is handled by some ghostscript uniprint magic in the printerdb
entry corresponding to the filter of the "epson-medres" queue. I
don't know the details.

I know the basic ip is right, since I can see the traffic: I can watch
linux receiving the packet which contains the request.

The client can speak postscript. For example, in linux I can run
enscript -d epson-medres <some_text_file>
and I can print the RedHat ps test page from printtool (in color :).

I have the unpleasant feeling I'll need to dig up a spec on the lpd
protocol to see what's going wrong.
